On Wednesday, October 9 WAVE FBLA Students, led by advisor Dawn Jameson, attended a Leadership Conference at UW-Stout. While at the conference, students had the opportunity to interact with FBLA members from other chapters in the state, learn what FBLA can offer them, and learn what the Leadership Lab is all about.
Students also had the opportunity to hear keynote speaker Erica Prosser, a retired professional women's basketball player. Ms. Prosser's message was "Leadership Wins Championships".
Then, on Saturday, October 12, FBLA students met at the WAVE mall location to participate in an Escape Room challenge. The Escape Room is a fun team building activity in which students work together to solve a puzzle. Each team (of 3 or 4) work together to figure out the code to see if they can "crack" the case.
Following the Escape Room activity, the club met to plan future events:
- Sawmill Haunted House
- Trunk or Treat
- Upcoming Competitions
- Candy Sales
- Member Drive
As a reminder, FBLA is still collecting non-perishable food items at the WAVE mall location. Please consider donating.
There is still time to get involved in FBLA! Reach out to Mrs. Jameson at djameson@wausauschools.org with any questions. Don't miss out on these opportunities.
The next meeting is Saturday, October 26 (10am-noon) at the WAVE mall location. Anyone in grades 9-12 is welcome to attend.
